Starting Graduate School

Advisor first meeting(s) guide

This guide was written to help new (and old!) graduate students develop quality working relationships with their advisors. Particularly to help students with less or no incoming experience with graduate school (e.g. first gen graduate students) know what is appropriate and helpful to discuss with advisors beyond research projects – including finances, safety, preferred working styles. This was written by the Ecology and Evolution DEI committee at the University of Montana.
